Terms of Service
The short version. You pay once and keep using Redactron, with updates included. Pro covers one person on up to 3 devices. Team covers one organization with 5 activations. Redactron is a tool, not legal advice: check every page of an export before you share it. If it does not work for you, ask for a refund within 30 days.
Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and the people who make and sell Redactron ("we" or "us"). By using Redactron at redactron.app, you agree to them. If you use Redactron for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it.
Lemon Squeezy sells Redactron licenses as the merchant of record, under the store name VibeFast. Your purchase is also covered by Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms.
The free tier
You can export 3 documents each calendar month for free, with no account. Redactron counts exports on your device.
What a license gives you
- Pro. One person may use Redactron on up to 3 devices at a time. Each device uses one activation of the license key.
- Team. One organization receives one license key with 5 activations, for use by its own people.
Both licenses are paid once and do not expire. They include unlimited exports and the updates we release, at no extra charge. You may use Redactron for personal and commercial work. To move a license to a new device, remove it from the old one in the app, which frees the activation.
What you may not do
- Share your license key with people outside your license, or use more activations than you paid for.
- Resell, rent or sublicense Redactron or a license key.
- Copy, decompile or reverse engineer Redactron to resell it or to build a competing product.
- Use Redactron to break the law.
Your documents and your responsibility
Redactron processes your documents in your browser. We never receive them. You are responsible for the documents you redact and for what you share.
Redactron is a tool. It is not legal advice, and using it does not by itself make you compliant with any law, court order or professional rule. Automatic detection looks for common patterns and can miss text. It cannot read scanned pages, which have no text layer. The verification report after each export checks the output file. It does not prove that every sensitive item was found, and only the areas you marked are removed. You are responsible for reviewing every page of an export before you share it.
Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy. When a license is refunded, its key is disabled.
If you break these terms
If you break these terms, for example by sharing a key widely, we may disable your license key.
No warranty
We work hard to make Redactron reliable, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Redactron will be free of errors, that it will always be available, or that automatic detection will find every item you need to redact.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. This includes harm caused by information that was not redacted. Our total liability for any claim about Redactron is limited to the amount you paid for your Redactron license.
Some places do not allow these exclusions or limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing in these terms takes away rights that you have by law as a consumer.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, email support@redactron.app first. Most problems can be fixed that way. For problems with a payment or a refund, Lemon Squeezy can also help, because it processed your purchase. Where possible, disputes are handled through Lemon Squeezy first.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. A change does not take away a license you have already paid for.
